London session: meaning in trading
The London session is the forex trading day in London, roughly 08:00 to 17:00 UK time, the busiest for the pound.
London handles more forex volume than any other centre. For GBPUSD the open at 08:00 is often the most active time of the day, and when the Asia range is most likely to be swept.
From around 13:00 UK time London overlaps with New York, which brings a second burst of activity, especially around US data at 13:30.
